Welcome to the Wicker Park Building Tour

In 1978 Nicholas Sommers of the Old Wicker Park Committee published The Historic Homes of Old Wicker Park: A Tour Guide and Sampler. Their goal was to save the beauty of Wicker Park and get the district designated as a historic district as well as a Chicago landmark. This was accomplished in 1991 when the Wicker Park district became an official landmark of the city. We have them to thank for the large amount of Wicker Park preservation that occurred the end of the twentieth century. It is our time to now maintain and appreciate these works or art. Wicker Park is full of history and magnificent architecture, below is simply a sample of what the area has to offer.
